Day 67: Why Persevere

The 100 Day Writing Project

Why do you pursue anything? This is a deep question and has no one correct answer.

Why am I pursuing this writing project? I think I now know.

To prove to myself that I can stick with something and see it through to its completion. To get into a habit of writing and creating daily-of being accountable to my non-existent readers in the hope of them reading it all one day. And to be accountable to my craft and my long held and long cherished dream of having writing as a career. To hone my skills-to learn and grow and improve what I already know and to learn some more.

And to write. No matter what. To satisfy my soul-to vent out what I cannot speak aloud.

To be heard, to have a voice, an opinion, a face of my own.

To be my own person.

Scared to write this, but,

To be a writer.
