Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the United States of America took the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday. Everyone from Joe Biden to Ian McKellen, notable people around the world are slowly and steadily getting vaccinated but the image of Fauci taking the vaccine stands out. You may ask why? He has been the leading voice calling for faithful adherence to social-distancing measures and as he turns eighty years old today on Christmas, he has no plans of slowing down as he accepts Biden’s offer to continue his role at the NIAID and continues to encourage safety measures, at the same time comforting the USA about normalcy being returned by summer of next year. His taking the vaccine is a symbol of faith and trust which the world has placed on him and to me this image represents hope that 2021 is going to be our year.
