We made it. We survived another year. Every year, when it finally hits me that it’s the last day of the year,I am astonished at the pace at which the year flew by and at the same time I remember every moment as if it were yesterday. I am aware of every smile, every tear, every aching moment and yet it all seems a blur.

2020 has been a crazy year for each one of us. We have lived through a pandemic-learnt so much about ourselves, about each other, about how fragile life can be and how strong kindness can be. Every time we thought we would break and not recover, each time we have surprised ourselves by our own courage, grit and determination-dusted off ourselves and gotten up-found new reasons to pull through.

The end of the year makes me pause and reflect and look back at what we thought we’d do this year and what we actually did-life has its own plans too. To all of you, I want to tell you that no matter how hard it seems, it will get better-you will make it. Look at time-it moves forward and so will you. So many of us thought this year, this pandemic would never come to an end. But here we are, we survived the year-the epic year 2020 which generations will remember as the year we had to unlearn everything we know and start afresh.

And here we are at the brink of 2021-who would have thought? Dear readers, I wish you all the happiness in the world-may you all be free to live how you want to.

Happy New Year world!
